Joyce Kidulu
Country Director – Uganda
An experienced community development leader, Joyce joined Wise Choices for Life in 2015 after serving as Project Director with Compassion International for more than 15 years. Originally engaged as the Regional Coordinator, in recent years, Joyce was appointed to the role of Country Director, Uganda. In the latter position, Joyce is a full member of the Ugandan Board.
Married to James Kidulu and proud parents of four beautiful children, the couple have embraced the Marriage Ministry and are Marriage Counsellors. Joyce is passionate about sharing the positive impact that good parental skills has on whole communities.
Wise Choices for Life is a platform through which Joyce believes she can reach out to vulnerable communities, enlighten the people on reproductive health and encourage them to embrace life skills that can ultimately break the poverty cycle.
Joyce holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and Management, Bachelors in Primary Education, a Diploma in Primary Education and a Certificate in Primary Education.
Fred Mukisa
Program Manager
Fred has been involved in mission and community development projects for the last 10 years. He first worked with Teen Missions International Uganda as a Rescue Facilitator in Northern Uganda.
A skilled and certified Wise Choices for Life Trainer, Fred trains and coordinates the training team – a combination of staff and volunteers. Fred leads the team to facilitate the delivery of quality reproductive health and life skills training in schools, prisons, remand homes, churches and to other community groups.
Fred is a member of Wise Choices for Life’s Australian-based Training and Assessment Sub-committee and contributes to curriculum development, training design and delivery methods.
Fred has completed the renowned Leadership Matters Course and is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry at Livingstone International University.
Janet Nabalayo
Assistant Program Manager
An experienced community worker and program leader for over 15 year, Janet is a highly motivated member of the team – always enthusiastic to learn and undertake new challenges.
As Assistant Program Manager, Janet works alongside the Program Manager to train and support the trainers. A certified WFCL trainer, Leadership Matters Course graduate, Janet ensures the net is cast wide when taking reproductive health and life skills education into the communities.
Janet’s love for the underserved is inspirational and highly evident as she navigates her way around sensitive topics to bring transformational change to the communities she serves.
Janet is a professionally qualified Teacher, Counsellor and Social Worker. She also has participated in management training courses covering human resource, family planning and orphans & vulnerable children (OVC) management.
Peter Mboto
IT and Admin Officer
A certified WFCL trainer and Leadership Matters Course graduate, Peter ensures the office administration and IT functions run smoothly every day.
A multi-talented young man, Peter tends to stay in the background as he performs the daily operations. A day in Peter’s life includes running the Mbale Office, maintaining databases, setting up training room facilities and audio-visual equipment. Generally, ensuring his colleagues can perform at their best. Peter is also a self-taught photographer/videographer which not only captures the work of Wise Choices for Life but exposes the needs in the community.
Peter’s degrees include a Master of Computer Forensics and a Bachelor of Science in IT. He also holds certificates in CCNA, Applied Theology and Monitoring and Evaluation.
Monica Aguti
Research and Communications Officer
Monica is multi-talented and highly skilled in several areas and Wise Choices for Life is fortunate to have her heading up Communications (Grant Writing, Fundraising, Student Services, etc.) and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) of our training and research programs.
She is passionate about contributing to organisational growth which is no surprise given her excellent program planning, budgeting, policy formulation and M&E skills. Building vital networks and strategic partnerships across peoples of different backgrounds, races, and
With management experience of more than 10 years, Monica demonstrate a resilient commitment to serve others and has a creative and innovative approach to her work. Her excellent interpersonal and communication skills assists with propelling teams to high performance levels.
Monica holds a Master of NGO Management and did a dissertation on “The role of Monitoring and Evaluation as a Management Tool”.
