Buying for those who can’t
Many of our Partners are not in a position to purchase a Training Kit/s for their Trainers who often cover a few locations in order to reach their Learning Clusters. This is an opportunity for supporters to provide a kit to be used to train a community that desperately needs to be equipped and empowered to stop the intergenerational poverty cycle.
Each item in the Training Kit has a specific purpose to help demonstrate the basics of Wise Choices for Life’s Reproductive Health training courses. It allows us to provide accurate information in a way that is easy to understand for our Participants. Wise Choices for Life Trainers can confidently use these materials to aid discussion and training on these sensitive subjects.
Below you will find some of the most common training materials and resources that Wise Choices for Life uses in its work. Sponsoring the cost for one or more of these items will allow us to purchase it for a Trainer who can’t.
COMPLETE TRAINING KIT
Complete Training Kit – $600
The full kit contains all the tools required for the comprehensive training course. Each item is critical in the ultimate achievement of the training course’s aims. Kit items may be sponsored individually as listed below.
INDIVIDUAL TRAINING KIT ITEMS
Pregnancy Flip Chart – $40
This is used to show normal growth of the baby and the needs of the mother during pregnancy and after the birth.
Family Planning Flip Chart – $40
Used to show natural and medical options for child spacing
Demonstration Dolls and Pelvis – $110
Contents:

These items are used to show normal birth, obstructed labour, obstetric Fistulas and the dangers of early teenage pregnancies
Small and Large Uterus – $6
(Included in the purchase of the COMPLETE TRAINING KIT and
the DEMONSTRATION DOLLS)
This is used to show:
- Normal birth and growth of the baby
- Dangers of Abortion
- Haemorrhaging and having too many children too close together.
Growing up Book: “What is happening to me?” – $35
Used to show the changes we go through during puberty, contains 34 questions and answers youth want to ask.
